Liga MX

Liga MX, officially known as Liga BBVA MX due to sponsorship reasons, is the top professional football division of the Mexican football league system. It is mainly divided into two tournaments: Apertura which starts in summer and Clausura which starts in winter. The league is considered one of the strongest in North America. The regular season consists of 18 teams with two champions each season. Each year, the league has four teams that compete in the CONCACAF champions league. Of the 56 teams participating in the league, the América has won 13 titles, and the current league champion is Atlas, the winner of the aperture 2021 tournament.
